Is the drinking water in the stateroom OK for drinking. I like a Scotch and water if the bathroom water is Ok I don't need it ice cold. I'll bring my whiskey on in a plastic hip flask, don't drink that much.

Hey Ptur,

There has been some discussion and debate on here about the quality of the ships water. I personally don't like it. I do brush my teeth with it and drink tea and use the ice from food service. But that is it for me. I can be pretty sure about telling you that it does not come out cold.

I would get one of the buckets they serve the buckets of beer in. You can get from lido bartenders or room service, or just ask your steward. Put yourself a nice bottle of water in it, and they will keep it ice cold for you.

Why ruin your Scotch?

Best to you,
IslandCruz

Hi Ptur,
We usually use bottled water as well, but there's nothing wrong with ship water at all. You drink it in the dining room, it's just that it has ice in it. We are usually in a balcony room that has a refrigerator in it. The cabin steward fills up our ice bucket, and we use the water from the melted ice to drink as well. Best wishes and have a wonderful cruise!
