go to Carnival's website and under destinations, then under port of Bahamas,Nassau. You will see all the activities offered. Whether you book the cruise lines shore excursions or not it will give you an idea of things to do.

Take the water taxi from the port to paradise Beach. Short walk to the beach from there. (much better than Cable Beach on the port side of nassau) Its gorgeous, and you will share the beach with the guests from Atlantis and RIU. Free Public Beach and the water taxi is only $6 each way. Lounge chairs are $10 and vendors are available for drinks, chips.... We took a few cookies off the ship to snack on. Shhh!!!! Enjoy!!!

I just came back from my first trip to Nassau. I was impressed at how accessible everything was. There were so many options once you got off the ship. We opted for a snorkel tour after a few hours of shopping. We then took a taxi to the Atlantis resort where we took a self guided tour free. We were able to see everything with greater ease than those on a tour, not to mention the tour was $59usd. I was so impressed with the island that I'm taking my children over their summer break. You will have a fantastic time!
