i am thinking about the fascination in may from miami. i can get really chaep air if i fly southwest into ft lauderdale. does anyone know how long it would take me to get out of ft lauderdale airport and take a taqxi to the miami port? one other question...is the suite worth an xtra $600 on a 4 day cruise???

it is a approx a 45 min ride

I have flown into FLL twice for cruises out of Miami. The Canadian charter airlines fly into FLL instead of MIA because it is cheaper. It is only 45min away so Carnival has reps staffing both airports directing passengers.

Yes it is real easy to do a Maimi cruie by flying into Ft Lauderdale. I have done it several times. Carnival also sails out of Port Everglades in Ft Lauderdale so just a word of caution when getting a bus or taxi to the "Port".. specify the Port of Miami or you might find yourself boarding the wrong bus. And on the way back you can buy a bus ticket right on board for Ft Lauderdale.
