We didn't have a cabinnumber.This is the first time we choose a guarantee oceanview cabin.

We'll be on the Valor May 27th for the Western cruise. Would love to hear recent reviews. How was the Piano Bar? We like a good entertainer and have had some good ones in the past. How about the current cruise director? John eald was one of our favorites. We also have a group of 14 of us - we want to go to the supper club one evening when the menu is not good in the main dining room. If anyone knows about Wed. & Thurs evening menu items it would b appreciated.

How were the western ports?

..Hello everybody..!! Just returned yesterday from a cruise on the Valor and it was great.

I just wanted to keep this thread alive and between unpacking and dealing with cruise withdrawals, I'd be happy to answer any questions that pop-up.

First, the cruise director is Chris Jefferson and he's the best. Voted number one CD in Carnival's Fleet. He's a great comedian and all-around great guy. He and his staff kept the activities moving at a frenetic pace.

The piano bar was excellent as well as the martini bar (actually called Jeanne's Wine Bar) which is located in the Promenade Deck #5 starboard side. This is a MUST for one of the daily martini special before heading down to the dining room for dinner..

Zuzanna (right..she's from Romania) is the bartender and mixes a fantastic drink!! Toss her a $2.50 chip from the casino as a tip and hold on!!

More later on the dining experience!! It was so much fun..
