Carnival Destiny

I will be sailing on the Destiny in less than 25 days (August 10th). How does the ship differ from the Glory?

Also I will be sailing to Nassau, Half Moon, and Grand Turk. Is there any good shopping for higher prices watches? Does anyone know what watches are carried on the Destiny? Any news would be much appreciated.

Nassau will be your best place to get a watch out of those ports. there is plenty of shopping in jewlry stores there.nothing at half moon cay.and little in grand turks

They differ in a lot of "small" ways. Nothing that most people would notice. The Destiny was the first new ship Carnival built of this size. So they have attempted to improve upon the design with each new ship leading up to the Conquest class of ships.

For watches, you might find better prices on board. Check on board, check in Nassau, then decide before you leave Nassau. Grand Turk isn't going to have much for jewelry, Half Moon Cay is just tourist stuff, it's a private island, with beautiful white sand. Bon Voyage

Fossil and Bulova are popular brands sold on cruise ships. You won't find Rolex, TAG Heuer, Omega, etc.

I got a pretty good deal on Fossil watch on the ship. As tim c. and Penny mentioned, Nassau will be your best bet out of these ports. There are some decent watch/jewelry stores where the ship docks at Havensight. I think there is an authorized Rolex dealer there as well. I just like to look sometimes.

That was helpful. On my last cruise with the Glory, they had a nice collection of Tags.

I was just curious to know if different ships carry different or simialar stock.
