IBCRUZIN, where in Brooklyn are you located? I'm in Bklyn as well. Would be nice to know a fellow cruiser from my own backyard. I've never cruised out of New York, but would think just the views coming in and out of the harbor would be spectacular enough to make the whole cruise!

tncruiseman, you are so right about the views coming and going, especially if leaving from the Manhattan terminal. I never tire of it.
We live in Massachusetts, about 3 hours away from NYC, yet I was born and raised in the Bronx and now visit NYC regularly for business. I'd be into planning a cruise together, as well, although my schedule is now filled for 2007 and 2008. I would certainly come in for any pre-cruise celebrations, so keep me in the loop.
Hello all, I just want to say that sailing out of NYC offers great views, from the Statue of Liberty to sailing under the bridge. This will be my second time sailing out of NYC, I had a third scheduled for Sept.14,2008 but just changed that one to Sept.14,2008 out of Miami on the Valor. Just figured I didn't want to do the same sailing back to back. As far as the price goes for me it comes out to about the same price. The NYC cruise cost more than others but because I don't need a flight for me it averages out to being about the same as the cruise out of Miami because now I have to include flight monies, taxis, etc.

Deege, I understand why you leave out of the NY port. My husband has earned more air miles than he can ever use. That's why we fly to our port. Have you cruised out of Cape Liberty, NJ yet? A'ndrea
Andrea, I have never cruised out of Cape Liberty NJ. It sounds like a good idea though. I'm already booked for 2007-08 but I may look into that for 2009.
