On the Holiday they made it into a miniature golf course. As with RCI's rock-climbing walls, I don't understand the miniature golf thing. I thought the fascination with it ended years ago. Stupid me. I await the return of roller derby, which RCI could easily accomodate on ice rinks.
My first thought is the "new" space will become yet another revenue center of some sort.
You've got it, Dave!
The'll put in a few amenities, name it "the Sanctuary", or "The Retreat", or "The Hideaway". or some such nosense, and then charge you $15.00 for a half-day of peace and quiet.
I figure it was a dollar and cents job.... Those desks are often not used or not used to capacity so I guess they decided to use the space for something that brought in some more of the above mentioned dollars & cents
I have to agree with you Carnival should provide a quite area for relaxation - without Kids well that will depend if they can shut up there are welcome.... This ábsolutely needs to be enforced like on believe it or not Disney - apparently adult only means exactly that!!
Disney may even do a better job of providing adult areas than some of our favorites.
A possible reason for why they are closing the topless decks. In this day and age of the digital camera, a topless person could easily find themselves posted all over the internet without their permission.
We were on Destiny last week, and they closed the deck halfway thru the cruise. Took down the signs and started doing some work up there so nobody could use it.
