I booked stateroom 7345,Empress deck on the Conquest with upper/lower beds for my daughter and I.
Has anyone had one of these rooms?
How big are the rooms?
Are the beds comfy?
I figured that we will only be in the room to sleep.

According to the Carnival agents, these upper/lower staterooms are the same size as the 4A's and 6A's it just that they have a lower single bed and an upper berth. Some of them on the newer ships come with the sofa, you need to check with your agent to find out the configuration on this. The location of your stateroom is great it is midship close to the elevators.

One suggestion for next time, when you book the catagory 1A book it at a guarantee rate instead of an assigned stateroom, this way you stand a great chance of getting upgraded to a 4A since there are only approximately 15 of these cabins on a ship. The further out you book the greater chance of a good upgrade.

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise!!

One good thing about the 1A cabins is that, with the beds being upper/lower, you actually have more floor space than a 4A.

I took a cruise on Carnival's Inspiration back in October. I had a Upper/Lower Interior stateroom. It was 162 square feet. I was alone on the cruise and the room was more than plenty for one person.

It was so much better than the 115 square foot broomcloset-sized stateroom I had on R.C.s Sovereign/Seas.

I don't know what the square footage is in a Upper/Lower stateroom aboard the Conquest. You can probably find out on Carnival's website; Carnival Cruise Line's Website (CLICK HERE)

I hope this was some help to you. Enjoy your cruise

Oops! I should have read all of your message:

Yes, the bed was comfy. And I am particular about beds.

There should be enough room for the two of you. I like interior rooms because they can get dark and cool, even during the middle of the day. That worked out well when I stay up really late and slept in late as well as had a mid-day nap or two.

I took the initiative to find out for myself how big a Upper/Lower Interior room is aboard the Carnival Conquest.

I did not get much information from Carnival's official website. However, I went to Yahoo Travel and got as close as I could without booking a room for myself. According to them, the room size is 185 square feet. That is almost 25 extra square feet than what I had on the Inspiration. So, it should be comfortable enough for the two of you.

So, I hope you have a good time on your cruise
