Ok. I am "slightly" older than you....just slightly. I know the question was directed to Ken, but $7.99 seems good for tenderloin. Is it choice, select, Angus? or is it USDA inspected?

Ken, I knew there was a reason why I liked you so much!
P.S. I bought a whole beef tenderloin today for $7.99 a pound. Good price or no?

Sam's club? Just curious. Is it prime, choice or select? Just kidding, you can hardly go wrong with a tenderloin. Making Filet Mignon? What time is dinner? .

Precisely 44?

Carl, IBP brand? Are you familiar with BJ's Wholesale Club? I got it there. I've heard some people have gotten whole tenderloins for $3.99 a pound through Sysco. Now, that's a steal.

I've never been a huge fan of tenderloin - just not much flavor to my tastes.

I have a great easy recipe for stuffed tenderloins....basically blue cheese, crushed walnuts, and parsley stuffed inside. That was our christmas dinner this past year.

Very familiar with IBP. IBP is a packer, but they have different grades of product. Beef is at a premium price lately. I saw tenderloins at christmas as high as $20 a pound.

Okay, so I slid the ruler a little left. 45 on 9/8. Big deal.

Dinner menu as follows: Beef eye of round, oven roasted italian potatoes, fresh whole corn from Florida (I'm so excited), ciabatta bread, caesar salad (homemade dressing, of course).
Can you guys be here in 1 hour. I'll hold dinner.

I haven't been to a BJ's since I lived in PA. I miss the Cosco I used to go to in FL.

Iowa Beef Producers! I do get some pretty good pricing from my vendors, like Sysco. I think
$ 3.99 would be a "fire-sale" price.

It's true Dave, not a heck of a lot of flavor but pepper crusted, and bacon wrapped??? How about that one. I know, give me a Porterhouse any day.
