Thanks Ibcruzin, We will probably only take one bottle, but we are poor and have heard horror stories about the bill at the end of the cruise. We will purchase a soda card and some beers during the days.
The drinks are no more expensive than at a decent bar. But tn has a great idea. If they do catch you trying to sneak it on board, they will confiscate it. Best of luck, I personally would not take the chance. Have a great cruise!
Thanks for the replies, I think a few minitures will come on board with us, As single, homeowning women we do not usually go out drink 7 days a week, but want to have a good time and not have a $1000 bill at the end of it. We will still purchase other drinks for during the day this is just for our liquor drinkers.

You will get at least the one bottle of alcohol on board. just make sure it is in your luggage snug so that there is no room for it to move around in case they throw your luggage around, which they will.
Hanging by the bars may not work for 7 women at one time.
The only way you will end with a $1,000 bar tab is if each and every one of you get falling down drunk just about every night. The mixed drink cocktails are around $5. $1,000 buys a whole lot of $5 drinks.
For $1,000 each of you ladies can get 4 cocktails a day (give or take a few bucks). I don't know how much you ladies drink when you do drink but that seems like a healthy amount.
Oh yeah, very important. Do the math!!! The soda card is not worth it unless you are either a soda junkie or plan to share the card (not allowed). I think you will have to order something like 5 sodas a day (that is a whole lot) in order to break even with the soda card.
If anything, bring sodas and bottled water on board with you (allowed) and save your money for your leisurely-at-the-bar cocktails.

Matlily, keep in mind... there is lemonade, iced tea, fruit punch and juices(in the morning) dispensed on the lido deck. Unless you're die-hard soda junkies, don't buy the card. It will be a waste of money.
