We sailed the Mediterranean on Carnival's Liberty and was put in Cabin 1259. The cruise itself was wonderful but the cabin was another story. It was located right next to the crew room on the first deck. During the day but mostly throughout the night, we heard a strange sound coming from the wall. It sounded like something heavy rolling back and forth along the wall. It was intermittant, throughout the night, all night. Needless to say, I got very little sleep because of it. After suffering with this mysterious sound for a week, Carnival finally changed our cabin to one over a lounge. After enduring the rolling noise for so long, the new cabin was a relief. Carnival did seem concerned but couldn't identify the sound. They were nice enough to accommodate us and also gave us a $200 credit. I would have preferred to have slept the first half of our cruise. Was wondering if anyone else heard this same noise.
