Acapulco
Birds, Turtles & City Overview

We choose this tour because we did not want to do the Cliff Divers ect. Since we saw turtles on the way in to Acapulco it was great. We saw how they are raising and releasing the turtles.

We also saw the Tres Palos Lagoon. It is full of Birds; since we are nature lovers we loved it. The boat ride was fun. The African queen was filmed at this location. The women treated themselves to clay facial.

We went outside the pier gates and were over whelmed with people wanting to take us on tours or sell us stuff.
We did not see any good deals at this port.

Zihuatanejo & Ixtapa
You will use the ships tenders on this port of call. It is the place to shop. As a whole be liked the shopping a few years back on our Pride cruise better, but if you shop this is the place.
We really enjoyed the tour below. It was interesting seeing them make the clay brick and tiles. Also the Coconut farm was a kick.
If you want a deal on Gold then this is the tour. You will stop at a town that makes allsorts of good jewelry. Stopped off and bought a few local tacos. I ate them many did not. I am still alive and well.

Manzanillo Colima
We chose the Colonial tour at this port. It took you to the town of Colima. We took a tour of the museum then went to the recently discovered pyramids of La Campana. We could see the Volcano for a short period, but clouds covered it shortly after noon. The people living at this location 2500 years ago were covered in Volcanic ash and killed.
We ate had a Carnival approved site.. The food was great.
There is nothing at the pier. You can catch a bus to downtown Manzanillo, and shopping for $3.00 round trip.
We did not take the bus as we had been on tour.

We really enjoyed all the meals on board. We ate every night in the main dinning room, and had most breakfast and lunches there. That does not mean we did not eat on the lido deck. We did notice men in jeans and a nice shirt. A few only had docker type pants and a nice shirt on formal night.
We plan on doing this cruise again. We might flight into the Colima area for a 3 or 4 day land vacation.
We love the lay out of the Spirit class. We were in room 8247, it had a little noise from the lido deck, but was quiet when we wanted to sleep.
The first and last days were a little rough. It was raining in San Diego when we left and raining again when we returned!
We stay at the Bayside Inn on a Park and Cruise deal. It worked out nice.

Not to turn our attention to our June HAL Cruise
