Change of plans..............

Ok, now that the itenarary has changed I know nothing much about Montego Bay, or Grand Cayman. Can someone help out? I think I'll need to be looking mostly for just a good beach to enjoy, with some shopping. I'll be on a budget for sure now and I'm trying tp make some enjoyable plans. Thanks everyone in advance !!

this website also has other ports you can check out, just click on your cruise ship and they should be able to tell you what ports you will be visiting, and what is available in each port.

I would definately recommend Capt. Bryans Bucanner Catamaran excursion {Grand Cayman} to Sting Ray City. All I can say is "Awesome". You will not be dissapointed, and it is only like $39 pp.

it has been a while since I was in jamaca 2002 there is a little know fact that there is a small shopping mall right at the pier out side of customs, I do not know if it is still there since all the hurricanes, they have alot of nice items and local crafters have really great things for sale and they will wheel and deal with you, the shuttle takes you to downtown which we visited 2 stores, to crowded and they watch you like a hawk and and it was just not fun shopping there we had more fun shopping at the pier, I even bought a lovely floral arrangemet and they delivered to our ship free, for 15.00 so we had a nice tropical reminder in our cabin of the great time we were having, we went to Margaritaville for lunch and we walked about four blocks to Doctors Cove a great swimming and sunning beach it cost us 3.00 each to enter and they rent chairs and umbrellas and there were waiters and waitress"s selling drinks on the beach from the hotel there, the water was wonderful to swim in and clear and warm truly a experience I shall not forget as I am not a swimmer in the sea but that was the best time swimming in the ocean for me, it was a very inexpensive day the shuttle was 2.00 to town the taxie to margaretaville was 4.00 lunch was about 16.00 for both of us plus a Margarita, and the beach 3.00. taxie back to ship 7.00, it may have gone up some since then as we have not been to that part the last 5 or 6 cruises we were on we were to go there this jan. on the conquest but like everyone we had to change ships enjoy your trip Fran

You are in luck Martha jst so happens that I have been researching these ports as well They have been on our itinerary since we booked in Feb. Here is what we are going to do based on advice given us:

Mo Bay - Seems *the* place to go is Sunset Beach - For $20 per person you get in a private beach with 2 swimming pools, jacuzzi, water toys (paddle boats, sunfish & snorkeling gear) AND free food & drinks!

Everything we have heard about Jamaica is bad - rude vendors, drug dealers, aggressive street vendors. Word I have seen is don't go wandering around on foot - take a Cab whereever you need to go - Sunset beach is supposed to be @ 2 blocks from the Tender terminal & we plan on taking a cab...

Grand Cayman seems to be all about Stingray City and the place recommended to us is Captain Marvins - they have a toll-free number and you can book on the website as well
