We are just about to book a cat11 suite, and have read the reviews, as usual some good some bad, some on ships that we were sailing on and I dont recognise the discriptions so please an accurate review not a rant by someone who,s room service was 10 minutes late and wants the crew keel hauled Kalo Taxidi
We cruised on the Triumph in 2003. While it was a good cruise, we didn't care for the layout of the ship. It isn't just the Triumph, but all Destiny-class ships have a poorly laid out pool deck which is cluttered and hard to navigate. Similar problems exist inside the ship.
No problems with the food, which was very good, or the service, which was great. This was a summer cruise, which meant lots of families (like us) with kids. I think the bars on our cruise did record business with buckets of beer sold. Our cruise seemed to have a larger than normal party crowd aboard.
We also had a large group of hispanic girls from Miami who were celebrating "quinces" at sea. They took over some venues for special parties and celebrations of their birthdays, but it wasn't to the point of being annoying.
Dave thanks for your comments, I booked the cat 11, the only prob was that Carnivals Web site does not accept payment from the U K, you only find this out after you fill the form in, so I phoned, a very pleasant lady took the money, what are quinces? regards Kalo Taxidi
