Holiday??

I wonder what happens to all the crew when she gets back saturday?

Some will probably be at end of contracts and go home. Others will be dispersed out to other ships. The New Carnival Dream will be in New York on November 12th.

We got off the Holiday on Saturday - It was a great trip (weather notwithstanding). Ida was hitting Nicaragua when we left Calica, so it was pushing some very heavy seas. The ship was nice and in very good shape I found it to be just like a Fantasy Class (original configuration) except everything was smaller and compressed.

I originally booked an ocean view on Empress deck, but Carnival called me a week before and offered as steep discount and a Cat 12 upgrade - so I jumped on the opportunity.

As for the crew - they were saying that some of them had new assignments and would go to their new ships while a lot would return home for vacation. I flew home the next day via Atlanta, and on an MD-88, I recognized most of the people in the back as Holiday Crew members.

What I loved about the Cat 12 suites on the Holiday (besides the space and isolation from the other cabins) was you were less than a minute from the pool area.

This report is greatly appreciated as I love the MS Holiday. I hope it didn't get too rocky on the ship. It is so sad for the crew to leave.

I just went to the Carnival website. They have removed the Holiday from the list of Fun Ships. The end of an era.
