I am hoping to book the Miracle leaving Fort Lauderdale on 12/31, New Years Eve. Anyone care to share their experience with a New Years Cruise? I imagine its a good party!

This particular intinerary is actually cheaper than all of the 7 day cruise leaving the same week out of Lauderdale and Miami. I suspect this is because the ship leaves on a Wed which makes it less desirable than those ships departing on Sat or Sunday. Anyone looking for a good deal should check this sailing out.

I spoke with my Carnival Cruise Planner today and was quoted $1170 per person for cabin 7220 (all taxes, fees and fuel surcharges included). In comparison to my other 6 Carnival sailings, this is a pretty good value considering its over New Years and an8 day sailing.

We personally hated our New Year's Eve cruise on the Miracle. We found our dinner seating VERY rushed and used as an excuse (since the waiters in the dining room also work the deck party). The Miracle is a FANTASTIC ship (we have sailed it twice), but I would skip this holiday aboard!

I guess I'm 180 degrees from Emr. We sailed the Liberty during last New Years and it was an absolute blast ! It was a great party with live music on the Lido deck with the large screen TV tuned to Time Square (same time zone) champagne flowed freely and free. We had no issues with the meal that night and we had late seating. I would spend every New Years on a cruise if possible.

Twice I have spent New Year's Eve on CCL and have thoroughly enjoyed it. But the Miracle...., I think is one of the worst ship built. The disco is two floors and you have to walk down the stairs to the disco. There are stairs all over the disco and the lighting is very bad. It's an accident waiting to happen.

Dr. Frankenstein's Lab main entrance is on the Promenade deck. It is indeed an odd design for people having libations with low lighting.
