Carnival Triumph to be refurbished?

Hello all. I have read some information regarding the drydock of Carnival Triumph this fall. There is a gap in her sailing dates. However, no one really seems to know for sure whether she will be refurbished or not. Does anyone here have the scoop? I will be sailing in late November and would love to board a refreshed ship. Thanks.

This may explain the poor maintenance conditions we encounted in Aug. Once you sail, I would like to know if it makes a big difference once they are refirb. Best Wishes.

Indeed from October 23 to Nov 12 on ICruise.com, there is no listing for the Triumph.

I know from other experiences that a gap in the listings of a cruise ship can mean that the ship has been chartered well in advance for a special interest cruise or cruises. However, I am hoping that whenever I see such a gap in schedule, that it holds the possibility that the ship is going into drydock for some refurbishment.

We cruise detectives will be on the prowl for further information......

Someone from another board said that she will be getting some work done on her this fall. He heard she might get a big movie screen on deck. I hope she gets the new down comforters too! Anyone else got some scoop? Why do they keep these things so hush hush any way?
