Conquest wedding dec 07

My granddaughter is getting married in port at Galveston. Members on both sides of the family and some possible friends will also be going on the cruise. Most of us wears jeans as casual dress. We know about the dining dress, but our main concern is wearing jeans, nice plain jeans, not torn etc. For those that have been, as this is also for all of us, our 1st cruise, would jeans on board ship be a real no no or is it relaxed enough that you wouldn't feel uncomfortable. We just hate to buy things that when the cruise is completed will for the most part not be worn.
We are all so excited about this adventure as well as a wedding of 2 fine people, that we don't want something we could have prevented to spoil it for them.

Jeans are worn on the ship. They just request you don't wear them in the main dining room for dinner. However; I'm sure you will see some wearing them even then.

Thanks for your help. I did forget one thing when I wrote earlier.
At this moment I'm not sure if my husband will be going. But if he decides to go on the cruise, his favorite casual dress is overalls. I'd really hate for him to be the only person dressed in overalls, and I may can encourage him to wear jeans or dockers, but should he also want overalls, would that be to much.

In all my cruises I can't think of seeing anyone wearing overalls. I would also think they would be very hot in Mexico and the Caribbean.

Jeans might be becoming casual but if you complete the outfit with T-shirts and baseball caps you may feel out of place. However you are sailing Carnival, so maybe not. They are too hot for me in that climate. A pair of khaki shorts is my choice.

Well look at it this way, you won't have any trouble finding him!
