Hi joarkn,
It has been a while since I was on the Sensation. What do you want to know about her?

Jerrard,
I would not cancel your cruise. If a hurricane is brewing the cruise ships just alter their course and stop at different ports. Personally, I would be much more concerned if I had booked a land package for any of resorts in the hurricane belt.

We actually did cancel a cruise last year with Royal Carribean, due to Ivan. There was another hurricane coming and Ivan had wiped out all of the islands that we were heading to. The cruise line said that the ship was leaving ahead of the next hurrican. "The waters might be little rough." And they said that the itenerary had not changed. We couldn't see ourselves having a good time checking out the islands that were just devasted by a hurrican. And water being rough? What exactly does that mean. I knew some people that took a cruise on rough waters and would have paid any amount to get off. They stayed sick the entire time. We didn't purchase insurance, at the advice of friends that cruise many times every year. So, we lost a lot of money on that cruise. This ship is smaller and I'm very curious as to what "rough water" is like on board. Can you help me on that one?

We'll be celebrating a week earlier. My wife turns 40 and oldest daughter 16 on the 14th. Ought to be a good party. We'll blaze a hurricane free trail for you to enjoy!

Now that's a good plan. I'll hold you to that one. With everything we've been through this year, The Lord really should consider blessing this trip for us. lol
