Good AM, Everyone. I noticed that CCL stays in port at Cabo San Lucas and Cannes for a very short time compared to the other stops. I would imagine some folk would rather spend more time at ports like these. Please, if anyone knows, why not more time at the more ritzy ports?

I think that it is all a matter of timing and the trip is short so the cruise can end when it is suposed to. They have these things worked out very close. I guess they could shorten a previous port, but Cabo is a tender port so there is not much they can do as far as ship maintence or supplying.

I think the four day to the bahamas should just drop the freeport stop and just continue on to Nassau.. 8 Hours in Freeport is not neccessary
At all...

Just MY 2 Cents

Mr October- I 100% agree with you on Freeport. But I don't think they will drop it from their cruises. Don't overlook the fact that most of the shops are partially owned by CCL. So, dropping off so many tourists helps the bottom line too.

I've learned that it is sometimes due to higher docking fees at the "ritzy" ports.

My girls told me that the less "ritzy" ports need tourist money more that the rich ones, so - in their words- "its a good thing we stay in the less ritzy ports longer so they can get more money." What is the expression? "Out of the mouths of babes?" Here I am thinking of partying and they're thinking of helping others!
