Child soda card runs $4 per day. Adult is $7 Its not really worth it unless your child drinks 3 or more glasses of soda a day. There is free milk, juice, tea and water to drink.

I did the soda card thing on the last cruise and I think I got my moneys worth. However, I think I drank a lot of pop I didnt like just to get my full value. I'm a Mt Dew drinker and they dont have it. I've read here that you can bring some soda onboard with you. Anyone know the limit?
you can take as much pop on board as you want. we usually take a suitcase with just pop in it. make sure you carry it on board with you though don't give it to the bagge guys out front b/c they just throw your bags around.
Wouldn't this be a hassle since we are planning to be at the terminal at 11am and (hopefully) board early? Then we would have to lug around a suitcase full of sodas until our room was ready???
They are right, you really have to drink a lot of soda to make the card worthwhile. Besides, during a cruise is a great time to wean away from soft drinks. Although you can take aboard soda in your checked luggage, if just one can ruptures, the problems caused by the mess will far exceed any savings. They will have cans of coke in your room (that you pay for if you open) to take care of any needed "fix."

Not sure about your children, but I did the soda card thing for my son (16) on our last cruise and it was well worth it. Bringing soda on board is a pain and the kids won't go back to their cabin for soda when they're having a ball elsewhere on the ship. That's just not practical for us. Get the card it's worth the money!!
We always take pop with us and we usually get to the terminal around 11 also and out of seven cruise only once has my room not been ready when i have gotten on the ship. we always go straight to our room. our room steward always puts a can of soda on ice so we always have a cold drink.
