Does Carnival's VIP Status begin ON your 10th cruise or AFTER your 10th cruise? On Carnival's web site it sounds like the 10th cruise is the magic one, not number 11. Just want to check actual experience.

Just hoping it comes out right. We just booked number 10 for our 30th anniversary in April on the Valor.

ON your 10th cruise.

So how will you know if everything is in order BEFORE you get on the ship? Your documents will have those precious words "Please proceed to VIP Check In". AND your Funpass will have VIP on it.

If for some reason neither of these notations appear...just make sure you take your cruise history printed out with you. (They are listed on www.carnival.com (link Profile...link Cruise History)

Enjoy!!!

Yes, is on the 10th. cruise. I would follow LHP's advice and check your profile now. Mine was messed up once with 2 Past Guest numbers. If everything is in order it should be no problem.

Before they had everything online, and stated like they do now, I went on my 10th cruise. I was a bit concerned if they had gotten my Past Guest numbers straightened out. They kept the cards in a separate area then that you went to after checking in. I remember saying "please let this be a Platinum card" when it was my turn. The guy handing out the cards started grinning real big, and said.. "Yes, Mr.*****, I have a Platinum card for you." I was so thrilled. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...on_biggrin.gif

Congratulations, on your 30th anniversary and your 10th Carnival cruise. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...on_biggrin.gif

We joined the Carvival Vacation club (I know...no nagging please) and are doing our first cruise using our points in a couple of weeks. One reason we joined was to get the VIP services and priveledes which we have enjoyed and used in the past.. Our Carnival Vacation rep told us that it would show up on our Fun Pass but never did. Does anyone know what gives???

Debbi, I have no idea why VIP is not on your Fun Pass. I would call them back and tell them.

I won't nag. I'll just be straight up with you, and I'm sure didn't know. It is the common policy of this forum to no longer allow CVC topics. It has been hashed and re-hashed.

Just letting you know in a friendly manner that we will not be re-visiting CVC issues on here. I hope you get it worked out.

I would suspect that the computer is programmed to print out VIP for those in Suites, and to track the past guest numbers for those that have earned VIP. It may be a manual entry for those in the CVC. Therefore; the person doing the booking would have to know to make the manual entry. Just a thought.

Make sure you take some kind of CVC identification with you. Do you have a card or something like that?

VIP should definately be on your paperwork. CVC does have to manually "apply" it but you do still get the VIP Check In AND Debarkation.

I am not sure they still do the "party"...but the VIP Check In and Debark are good for as long as your contract...even if you pay cash for a cruise when your points run out!!

Enjoy!!!

What do you get as a VIP? I'm only 4 cruises away from 10, so I'm just curious!
