OK, Here goes:
1. Jamaica (Montego Bay) Contact Carolyn Barrett at barrettadventures.com and ask her to provide a list of things to do.
2. Pick out a number of things to make a day of it.
3. Post your planned day on the
www.cruise-addicts.com web site and ask if anyone wants to join you and split the cost. Carolyn's van seats 12 comfortably. A full day 6-7 hours if you fill the van will cost about $20-$30 per person plus any entrance fees, shopping, food etc. It's cheap, and you'll make some new friends as well.
Plus, Carolyn or her husband are both great tour guides.
Since you are 32 years old, I would suggest you go to Rose Hall Beach, then on to a remote and safe shopping area, then to a local jerk stand for lunch, drive up into the hills for some culture shock and finish up at Margaritaville before heading back to the ship.
In Grand Cayman:
Contact Captain Marvins and take the early 2 1/2 hour snorkel and stingray tour. $34, Great crew, small boat, lots of personal attention.
Then, have driver drop you off at Holiday inn beach. Eat lunch at the outside restaurant and bar. Swim for a while before heading back to dock for some last minute shopping.
In Cozumel:
Get off ship early! Go right past all the shops quickly and head right to the taxi stand and pay $10 total (not per person) and head to chankanaab. Once at the park, pay $10 entrance fee and then head right to beach south end near restaurant, bar and very clean bathrooms. Set up your chairs and towells and start a "Bar Tab" with one of the waiters that come to your beach position. Rent fins and mask/snorkel and swim among the coral reef right at the shore line.
When you get hungry, take cab to Carlos and Charlies and have a great lunch with great drinks. After lunch, do some shopping before taking cab back to dock.
You will come home with a ton of good memories and great pictures!
Have fun.
Let me know how it turns out.
