Hello!
I'm sailing on the Conquest next week with my family and they said shorts were not allowed in the dining room during lunch or dinner. I was wondering how strict the dress code is, and if say, jean skirts would be okay?
Thank you!

Most nights for dinner I wore capri pants or a skort with low heel sandles. You see EVERYTHING. We did dress for the formal night in a cocktail dress and heels. I think a jean skirt would be fine. Just be comfortable and remember that you are on a moving ship so we appropriate shoes. Before our first cruise, I stressed over what to wear but once there I quickly realized that its more important to be comfortable and enjoy myself.
Have a great cruise.

Basically anything is fine as long as you are comfortable. You will have 2 night where you need to dress really nice( formal nights). The other nights I think we should all dress appropriate for dinner every night like Carnival or any other cruise ship ask, even they don't pressure us if we don't. We'll only doing it for ourselvies. Lets keep some standards here and not wear shorts to dinner, we can do that when we arrive back home. Just mt opinion though. Have a safe cruise all.

Shorts are OK in the dining room during lunch.

As for dinner, your denim skirt will likely be OK for a casual night, but not for a formal night according to the Carnival Web site FAQ.

when in the dining room for formal nights u will have to wear appropriate clothing but other than that they really didn't care. just as long as it is not a bathing suite or something. hope u have a nice time.
