Don't know anything about the Ecstasy; just wanted to say hello, welcome to cruise-chat, and I think you have one of the most clever names I've seen here!

The Ecstasy is smaller than the Conquest. The Esctasy is a Fantasy class ship at 70,000 ton. The Conquest 110,000. The Ecstasy came out in 1991. It was refurbished last year after the FEMA contract. I think all the Fantasy size ships are nice ships, not to big and not to small. You can reserve your shore excursions online or once you get onboard. They will have port talks to explain the excursions and which ones they recommend.

We sailed the Western Caribbean route on the Ecstasy in April of 2001. We had no complaints and thought it was a nice ship. It was larger than our previous cruise (Jubilee) so it was a 'step up' so to speak and had a few more public areas than the smaller ship.

This May we are taking the eastern route on the Glory. Again, one of the reasons is to experience a different class/size ship.

Enjoy.

thanks for all the replies....
since this new to me, how do you put the ticker thing on the post? i'm starting to like the different forums on the site. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo.../icon_wink.gif

Chipsahoy, Welcome to cruise chat. Just click on one of the tickers you see and you will find the site that produces them for you. From there copy and paste the non-html code into your signature box on your profile page.

You will probably figure it out.
