Have never stayed in the cabins. I just got off the phone with Carnival on another issue, so I thought I would ask..after having to get a supervisor to answer the question was told they were 1A Upper/Lower or "Bunk" with Portholes. It does look odd from the catalog they would be that. I would call again and ask to verify.

chad-I peaked into 2465 some time ago and saw 2 twins convertible into a queen/king ,despite it being rated a 1A inside cabin it has a window-not a porthole!

Bon Voyage

Hey chad and billy, I was pretty sure was not portholes as is aft is why I argued and they got a Supervisor. I love learning things so I just called again and they pulled up the cabin and CCL's computer has it described again as 1 Twin and 1 Upper, but this time said was 2 Windows not Portholes. She said if had a Twin/King would be a Category 5A. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, could be a mistake in their computer. The newest brochure does not have an * denoting anything different than a standard 1A. Billy, not disputing you in any way, but by the diagram in the brochure it looks like you would have had to walk in the cabin to see that. These are for sure weird cabins

Best of luck, and Bon Voyage Too!

Also, I always thought 5A had to do with the portholes not the twin/king! Something is a bit screwy with their description to me anyway. And can defineatly see how the question came up when you get conflicting info.

IslandCruz and Chad- there is a short corridor leading into the stateroom which requires a short stroll into the cabin-the steward let me peek after most passengers had debarked. It may be noisy as there are stairs up to the dining room right behind the wall. The Fincantieri ships built for Carnival all seem to have this anomaly!
