How far in advance of your cruise do you usually receive your packet (tickets, instructions, info, etc...)?

30 days for us - i think it depends on if you booked flights with them as those are assigned very late.

We got our 5 weeks before the cruise. Plenty of time. We did the chant "The cruise tickets are here ..the cruise tickets are here!"

We don't dance, not a pretty picture. But, an appropriate celebration is had and usually 5 or 6 weeks before sail date.

Next set should be here any day for Fantasy on April 21. Yes, we're excitedly awaiting.

Hi Karrie, Was thinking about what you said about the passports. Although you don't technically need the passports to enter a foreign port (Carribean, Mexico, or Canada) from a ship that sailed from a US port, if memory serves, you have to actually release your birth certificate to the passport officials when applying for a passport. That being said, if the passports are not returned to you in time, neither are your birth certificates, which means you wouldn't have an authenticated birth certificate to bring with you to the cruise terminal. Has anyone had to deal with a situation like that?

Hi, Carlg

Right you are I have no birth Certificate to bring. I have tried to check online about my passport status, it just tells me that my application was not found, but the check I sent with the application has cleared the bank. I applied for that passport on Feb 10th. .... I am so stressed thinking about that passport. Anybody having the same problem?

If you're close to your county of birth, go to the vital statistics office in person and request a certified copy of your birth certificate. If you're not within driving distance, get on the phone immediately, explain your situation and request an expedited processing for your certified birth certificate.
