Just got an e-mail that LaRomana is out and St Maarten, Antiqua and St Kitts are back in. This is for us who have March 2,16,23, and 30 cruise dates. After that St Lucia will replace St Maarten with the other ports the same as above. If you have a shore excursions for LaRomana booked Carnival will make it right. Whoo Hoo I didn't want LaRomana anyway. So now Sun is San Juan
Mon is St Thomas
Tues is Dominica
Weds is Barbados
Thur is St Lucia or for us St Maarten
Fri is Antiqua
Saturday is St Kitts and
Sun back to San Juan

Is this for good or just a few cruises?

Looks like a perm deal. The only difference those with cruises through March will have St Maareten in place of St Lucia then it is St Lucia for the remainder of the year. If you go in June IB then the above itinerary with St Lucia would be yours....

ok now I have a question:
I am cruising during june 2008 how will this affect my cruise??? Which port will be affected and wich ones I will get??
I don,t really like that much "La Romana" so any change on my itinerary will be great!!!
But that itinerary that you just post is the same I had last summer,
on the carnival site don't explain anything about changes
Can you give me some info I am lost now

just a note:

Thanks for the info my wife and I have been waiting for a change like that in our itinerary...

Sorry Casanova didn't mean to confuse. I received an e-mail from Carnival that says: March 2, 2008 to August 31, 2008 departures ininerary enhancement; We will replace the scheduled call in La Romana with visits to Antiqua and St Lucia on the Destiny cruise departing march 9, 2008 to August 31, 2008. This will enable us to offer you six great ports in the Southern Caribbean. The revised ininerary is shown below (what I posted before)
For cruises of March 2, 16, 23, and 30 2008 the Destiny will visit St Maarten instead of St Lucia and call on the following ports in a different sequence: Antiqua on Thrusday from 10-6:00: St Kitts on Friday from 8am to 6pm and St Maarten on Saturday from 7am to 5pm.
If you remember Casanova that beginning of January 2008 they had changed the itineray to La Romana and dropped of ports and I was unhappy as I signed up for the different ports and didn't want to stop in one place so glad they changed.

thank you baby doll for the info actually is good news for me this change on itinerary!!!

so you know my wife was a little picky to take it because "La Romana" is on Dominican Republic not a bad place but from where I live I can take the ferry for little $$$ and stay there for a few days for less money than a cruise.
We love Dominican Republic, is a great place, but not for cruising...

As for the new port's well I had been on them last summer except st.Kitts and I really enjoy them all so far I look for a NEW SUMMER CRUISE!!!
It was really great news thanks

Makes sense. Tell your wife I'm as happy as she is. Do you live near old San Juan? We have booked a room at the Hotel Milano. I know its not as nice of the more expensive, but we want to use our money else where as we don't spend that much time in the room anyway. Yes I am taking ear plugs...I heard the parties go on all night in that area. Getting excited as we draw more near to the date. I have the flight to get there, coming in Feb 28th for March 2nd cruise, but haven't got the return yet. Flights are still remaining high priced most likely because of fuel being high right now. Is there a good beach walking distance to hang out at?

I just checked my reservation with Carnival. While I didn't get an email, the port stops on my reservation online reflect the change from DR to the other islands. This is the post port-intensive cruise in the Caribbeans on all mainline cruiselines I believe.

It is going to be a good balance because so the Destiny is on its last days as a 7 day cruiseship and does not have many of the newer bells and whistles found on the other ships.

It will be an exhausting cruise I am sure. I am soooooo excited though because dominica and barbados are my favorite two carib islands. I have never been to St. Kitt or St. Lucia so this will also be a thrill.

Happy cruzin'
