Cruise Date 12/03/06
Depart Galveston, TX
Embark - We arrived at the Port at 1:30pm, the embarking process went pretty quick as we were in our stateroom by 2:30pm. Our luggage arrived in a timely fashion and by 5:15 we were completely unpacked and ready to tour the ship. We did go down and grab a hamburger and fries prior to the mandatory drill and the hamburger was great! We are leaving our room now to go and look around the ship.
We went exploring the ship and it is absolutely beautiful. None of the shops open until 7:00pm and we are assigned to the late dinner in the Monet Room, table 415. This is wonderful, the ship is rocking back and forth, the wind is blowing and we have the door to our balcony open. This is absolute heaven. We are getting dressed now and are going to head down to do some shopping and eat dinner. Our cabin steward came by and gave us a $25.00 credit. I am not sure why but we got it. I bought my soda card and I also brought my own on board. As I am sitting here typing this, the ship is rocking back and forth, you don't need to drink to feel drunk...this is wonderful.
Day 1 - We were seated at table 415 in the Monet Room. This table turned out to be a booth and we were joined by another couple who were staying on the same floor as us and as it turned out, they are right next door. We had a wonderful time and dinner was awesome. I had the New York Strip; it was cooked just right and was very good. My husband, Scott, had a pasta dish which he enjoyed very much. Our new friends had a sirloin steak which she really enjoyed and he had the ribs which he said was very good as well. We had a salad before our dinner and it was good. After dinner they brought the dessert menu and we all ordered the crème broule' and it was to die for. We sat and visited for awhile and then we headed to Alfred's bar and listened to some music for awhile.
After we were done we headed back to our stateroom as I noticed I had a nasty stain on my brand new white pants so we were going to go and change. We ended up lying in bed and enjoyed the rocking of the ship and the sound of the ocean so we just stayed in and watched TV.
As the first day draws to an end I must say that everything is absolutely to die for, this is incredible! Until tomorrow.....
Day 2..We awoke at 8:30am and the weather is wonderful, the rocking of the sea and the sound of the waves is priceless. I just ordered room service and we are going to dress so we can get started with the activities for the day. At 9:30 they have Trivia Fun and at 3:15 they have Deal or No Deal, it is 3 games of bingo and the winner of the 3rd game will be brought on stage to play the actual deal or no deal game just like on TV with a top prize being $1000.00.

We had room service for breakfast and it was wonderful, I had the bagels with cream cheese and my hubby had cinnamon rolls which he said was very good. We left our cabin and headed out for Trivia fun in Alfred's Bar, which I must say is a wonderful place, it is my favorite place onboard. Scott won the trivia and received a 24 karat plastic replica of the Conquest...woooohooooo. After that we headed to the buffet for lunch, I had southern fried chicken and pot roast along with a salad, Scott had pot roast and various side items....the food was absolutely wonderful!! After lunch we headed back to Alfred's Bar for a game of Name that Tune, it was fun but we didn't win that one. During the different events we would stop off at the Tahiti Casino where we pretty much came out even. We headed down to the Toulouse Lautrec for Deal or No Deal where we played 3 rounds of Bingo and the winner of the 3rd round went on stage to play Deal or No Deal, the banker offered him $376.00 and he made the deal, his case had $5.00 so he made a good deal! After Deal or No Deal we came to our stateroom and dressed for the Captain's Welcome Party. Scott looked so awesome in his suit. We didn't stop for any pictures tonight but will do that on Thursday.
Scott forgot his cologne in the truck so I had him go to the shop on board the ship and use the testers for his cologne...hehehehehe....Yes, he finally bought a bottle of john varvatos and it smells wonderful! When we arrived at the Captains Welcome party there was no where to sit so we went back to Tahiti Casino and gambled the night away, we are still even. When we were done there we came back to our cabin and called it a night.

I was hurting pretty bad this morning so I did not get out of the room until 1:30pm. Scott went out to the Casino and won a few dollars then came back to the room to get me. I got up, took a shower and got dressed. We went to the casino and played for awhile after we went to the Diamond and Gemstone show. That was a good show as Neil handed out VIP passes for the shops in Montego Bay and also coupons for free jewelry. We went to Paul's Deli where I had the tuna sandwich and Scott had the corned beef and pastrami combo, they were both very good. After our lunch we went to the casino where we are still even. After the casino we headed down to play sports trivia where Scptt won again. After the trivia Scott took me shopping for jewelry. He is a GREAT hubby!!! He bought me a pair of Caribbean Sunset earrings and the pendant to match. They are beautiful. He also surprised me with a new fragrance of perfume called Alien. It really is a great smelling perfume. We came to the cabin and got dressed so we could go see the Vegas Style show. It was pretty good and left from there for Dinner. On our way to dinner we stopped and took pictures at two different backgrounds. For dinner we both had the New York Strip, I had French Onion Soup, omg this was awesome! Scott had prosciutto and melon. He really enjoyed that dish. We had salads, me, the tossed salad, he had the ceaser salad, both were very good. For dessert I had the Chocolate melting cake and he had the strawberry cheesecake, these were to die for! The staff did a table dance to the mambo number 5 and la vida loco. It was neat. After dinner back to the Casino where we are still even. Actually, I am $6.00 up!!!! From there we came and changed for the hot tub. Now we are back in our cabin getting ready for our shore excursion tomorrow in Montego Bay!
This was long so I will break the rest down by Ports of Call.
I have put some pictures in my album and will be adding more.
