The Valor verus The Glory

Has anyone taken both of these Carnival cruises? I am trying to decide on which one to book. If you have taken both, your thoughts would be appreciated!

Since you haven't received a reply yet, I'll try to help. I haven't sailed on both ships (have been on the Glory twice), but have most likely done the itineraries. More information is required to form an opinion though.

What dates are you looking at for each ship?

The ships are essentially identical in layout, with the exception the Valor has had some recent upgrades including the Seaside Theater on the Lido deck, and some other additions.

The Glory is scheduled for dry-dock Jan 31 - 14 Feb, 2010. The Seaside Theater and teen areas probably will be upgraded then.

We have sailed on both and IslandCruz is right, it is basically the same ship. We were on the Glory in 2005 and the Valor in 2007. We did enjoy the Glory a little more but that was due to the crew and not the ship. The crew on the Valor were great but the crew on or Glory cruise were outstanding. You can not go wrong with either ship. I would pick the itinerary that you like best and go with that.

Just my two cents worth. We have been on both and loved them both. The itinerary is different and is our deciding factor depending on where we want to go. We're doing Glory again in just a few weeks because the itinerary has changes after the reconstruction of Costa Maya. The service on both ships was top notch. Our cabin stewards on both ships where the two best we've ever had. As stated by others, you cannot go wrong with either ship. Just pick the itinerary you like and go have fun!
