hello
I have been looking to buy a cruise trip on the Carnival Victory online, using Carnival.com, I'm planning to cruise during summer of 2010 and for some reason, I don't know why, they stop updating their cruise options online.
Now you cannot book a cruise after april 2010 That is strange, since during 2008, you had the option to book from september 2008 to april 2010, almost a two year booking options, and now their booking options had not changed since then, they keep eliminating bookings as the ships sails and the months pass but they don't give you new booking dates for future months.

Do you know if they are going to eliminate Puerto Rico as a departing port?

Are they going to changed the carnival victory from Puerto Rico?

I was looking foward to cruise in this ship for a few years now and it will be a very sad picture if that tha case...

Very few cruise ships on any line are bookable past April 2010. Prices comes out in April or May for cruises sailing until about two years later. In April or May of this year, you should be able to book ships sailing through April 2011. Most cruise lines won't confirm itineraries for that time period until the new prices come out.

There are some exceptions. For example, Royal Caribbean is allowing bookings for their new Oasis of the Seas past April 2010. But in general, that's how it works.

Cas, you asked this question last month about the reservations not being open past March 2010 in this thread.

I told you they are about 15 months out, it actually seems closer to 14 and does vary. So now it is January and they are open in April 2010.

No, they are not eliminating Puerto Rico as a departing port, and the Carnival Victory is not scheduled to be changed that I know of.

Sandy, thanks, I didn't know that about the prices.

You are most welcome, and that's OK. I realize you are anxious, and impending Fatherhood is probably adding to it. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...on_biggrin.gif

Cas, What Sandy said about the prices being released in April or May was spot on as always. Just wanted to let you know the Carnival Victory is now open for reservations through April 2011. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...on_biggrin.gif
