Bring booze on the ship

Would like to hear from anybody that has cruised lately with carnival. Wanted to know how strick they are about packing alcohol in your luggage.

We cruised on Inspiration June 8 and snuck on rum and vodka via soda bottles. We just packed them in our luggage and had no problem getting it on the ship. Once on the ship, we purchased a coke card and had our own mixers!

we pack the small airplane bottles among everyones luggage that we checked in at the pier had no problems getting it on, we did not carry anything on board on embarking.
