Inspiration is one of the many Fantasy-class ships of Carnival. Nothing wrong with that but it really can't compare to the Jewel Of The Seas as far as the things offered aboard the ship. Jewel has much more to offer.
We also live in the Tampa area and have been on the Inspiration approx. 4 times. It really is a nice ship, and having it this close to us is definitely a plus. After the cruise, it's a real "bummer" to drive back from Ft. Lauderdale.
We also prefer the set dining times and table vs. open dining plans that RCCL has. With open dining, you never have the same waiter, so we don't feel you get the same superb service that you would get otherwise since the waiters aren't going to get any better a tip.

I think you are confusing NCL and/or Princess with RCCL. NCL and Princess have open seating choices. RCCL still has assigned dinner seatings fleet wide.
