Carnival victory

Fran, as you've done this cruise and ship before, where do you think is the best place for sailaway? I've sailed out of NYC several times and still get such a thrill out of it, but I don't like crowds.

I read on another board that there is an open area on Deck 6 overlooking the bow that few passengers know of. This sounds like a great spot -- but is it a "legal" one? In other words, will we be asked kindly to leave?

I will have to ask my room mate as the last two sailings we had a Balcony room, and we stayed on our Balcony as we left port in NYC. and the Miami one, I had a Party in our cabin during sail-away we had 4 couples we met here on cruise chat to our cabin, we had cat 11 and we all hung out in cabin and balcony for that one, I do know that there is a place to go, I read about here on site will have to research back to find out about it unless there is someone else that has also sailed Victory. My son did go up to one of the decks to take pics, out of nyc and he said you could almost touch the bridge, so he found that deck, he is in seattle right now so can not ask him, I will try and find out tho. I will email him tonite, see if he remembers, what are you guys doing in St John, we have not booked anything only the pub run in N.S. I know last time we were there they had horse drawn trollys that looked interesting, if the weather is nice maybe we will do that, up in the air as to what to do right now in st. john talk to you soon Fran
