well plans for Las vesas got shot down prices of air fare, so we decided to do the Victory out of nyc instead, almost the same price of the airfare, rather cruise anyway lol!!!!
Hi lisa, you are going on Victory 7-1, this will be our 3rd time on her and second to Canada, we had vegas planned but things got changed, grand-daughter was to go with us and the air fares shot up, and then her plans changed she is going n.c. to visit her dad so we had planned to meet my oldest son and my other grandaughter out there, and his plans changed also, so I decided to search last minute cruise and found the victory, which is in our time frame. so we figured why not, I would rather be on a cruise anyway, I can gamble there too lol and I really like the casino on the Victory. I did very well in there the last two cruises, Canada is ok we like Nova Scotia it was very hot there we did it in late june St Johns was cold and damp and dreary, but it was ok, I got a guaranteed inside, so my agent told me my chances of being upgraded were pretty good, does not really mater the only time I see my cabin is when I shower or sleep, so where on the ship are you, I will not know till we arrive and sign in, or maybe try the kelly method in a week or so. Are you a family? we are just 2 adults going this time around, well hope to hear back from you maybe we can meet up on the ship you will really like her the lido deck is awesome Fran in Jersey
Hi Fran. We're a family of three -- my husband and I are early-mid 40s, and our son is 12. We love the Canadian Maritimes. This will be our fifth cruise to Canada -- fourth time to Halifax and third time to Saint John.
Our plans this time are to visit the Maritime Museum in Halifax (actually, I go there on every visit as it's a wonderful museum), the Pier 21 Immigration Museum, and then wherever the mood takes us. For Saint John, we thought we'd try one or two of the walking tours listed on the Vistors Web Site.
We were on Carnival Destiny about six years ago, and this will be only our second Carnival cruise. So, any tips on the ship are welcomed! We booked relatively last minute as well (well, at least for us), and have an assigned cabin on a lower deck. I'll send you a private message with the location.
cool look forward, I am going with my room mate and we have different tastes he prefers bars and the long days out on the deck in sun I prefer gambling the shows, karoke and just being lazy on vacation, and taking the day as it goes, we did not do much site seeing last time we went to the ports we did walk down to the glass factory and took the ferry across the bay my oldest daughter was on a mission to get harley davidson t- shirts from nova scotia took us the whole day but we found a place and got real familar to public transportation (Bus)lolol, I usually travel with my family I am in my fifties, room mate in forties, talk to you soon I am more excited about going on this cruise, even if it is Canada, but I really like the Victory, then I was about vegas for 7 days go figure we just got back from west. cruise in april seven of us went out of galveston it was not the greatest, so we are looking to make up for the time we had!!! Fran
lisa if you go to this link you can catch some pics of us on the galveston cruise I am the one with the pink bunny ears my room mate is the Hawanian guy http://www.tikilounge.rabidservers.com/
Thanks for the photos... I now know who to look for. My photo is on the CruiseReviews home page (http://cruisereviews.com/), near the bottom of page, right-hand side.
I'll be easy to find onboard. On our first sea day, I'll likely be on a deck chair on the outdoor promenade, Deck 3, either reading or writing in my journal.
hey lisa, so we booked a tour of the pubs in Nova Scotia, looked to be some fun in that, and it was a short tour so we could still hang out on the board walk there and fit in some other activities if we wanted to, thanks for for photo I will be on watch, you won't miss Danny he is not hard to spot and I guess me neither, it is Canadas Independence day july 1 so there will be alot of celebrating going on that week there, we are on rivera deck cabin 1292 but my t/a said we may get upgraded so we will see really does not matter we got a good deal any way as I am senior rate lololol, I contacted the OPC and may have some $$ comps, due to my gambling so that will be even great, more savings. count down begins!! Fran
