That most likely will be reserved for RCI's next ones. Humdinger of the Seas and Whopper of the Seas.
You could have a winner there! Especially if Burger King is part owner of the next one. Then they could follow American Hawaii's example and have the Indigestion on the Seas.

I sincerely hope they don't use "Wonder".
The Carnival "Wander" may be more appropriate.

Here's a good example of repeating names. Yesterday Silversea Cruise Lines took delivery of the Silversea Spirit. Now we have Silversea Spirit, NCL Spirit, and Carnival Spirit.

I sometimes think Renaissance had it right when they simply named the ships R1, R2, etc.

Much simpler; but not very imaginative.

"Yes, we're cruising next month on the C4;"

"Nothing like sailing into Venice on the P7."

"Weren't you our head waiter on the R6? Or was it the R3?"

Funny though, but nobody had a problem with QE2 :-)

Carnival ought to recycle names of their past ships. At least they are clearly identified with the brand. I have no problem with seeing a new Festivale or Tropicale. At least they aren't borrowing names from other cruise lines.

Cunard seems to be distancing themselves from the shortcut names. It was QM2, but lately all my press releases from them call the ship Queen Mary 2.

I do like the way Princess recycles its names. It will be interesting to see if one of their new ships turns out to be Royal Princess; and they still have Regal Princess and Sky Princess available before they start looking for new names.

Holland America likes to recycle their names also. Although it can get confusing when someone is talking about the history of ships. "Now was that the 1st Amsterdam or the second Amsterdam?
