Carnival announced today that it will build a third Dream Class ship, scheduled to come into service in spring 2012.

The second Dream Class ship, Carnival Magic, is already under construction and scheduled to enter service in May 2011.

It will be interesting to see what name they come up with. It seems so often the names are repeated. It seems they take turns using each others names sometimes!

Maybe they should hold a contest, the way Royal Caribbean did. It's the public who can think outside the box!

Sandy, So glad you brought that up. Hmmm, let's start a guessing game as to what the new ship name will be. Let's see.... we had the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, and now Carnival comes out with Carnival Dream, and Carnival Magic. So will the next be Carnival Wonder?? I do wonder.

I remember American Hawaii's ships, Independence and Constitution, were often called Constipation and Indigestion by mistake. Or not.

Wow! A deja vu moment! I mentioned "Wonder" in this thread when I reported this a while back.

I sincerely hope they don't use "Wonder".

That most likely will be reserved for RCI's next ones. Humdinger of the Seas and Whopper of the Seas.

Oh, didn't notice that thread. I guess it's hard to catch up sometimes when you've been gone on cruises. But it just goes to show you how minds do think alike!
