I have seen a lot about what extras to take, like room freshener, clothes pins, extension cord, etc, but what about things you CAN NOT take? Any hints or a list so I will not be embarrassed or surprised?
You wont need a blow dryer, iron, too many clothes (we always pack to much and end up buying tees and polos), of course-no weapons, they don't like you to take alcohol, no food, too many shoes (water shoes, tennis shoes and one pair of dress shoes), towels, shampoo, soap, don't take a whole lot of jewelry, take enough cash for tips and taxis before boarding, the rest in travelers checks or credit cards (there are safes on board). The travel iron was probably my most curious item, even though I knew those were available in the laundry room. That and maybe bottled water and soft drinks. I hear those are ok to take. I don't drink liquor, so that's not a problem, and weapons!... I am a Texan, but I don't carry any weapons with me..LOL. Rodney, We are going on the Ecstasy before you on 4-8-06. It is suppose to be the first cruise since being refurbished. I will try to let you know on here how it was when we get back. I am expecting to have a great time!

Hey Penny3333. Glad to meet someone else going out of Galveston. Wife and I are celebrating or birthdays(50!!) and upcoming 30th anniversary combining into one trip (first time for us to cruise). We are driving down from north Texas and spending the night in Houston with our middle son. Maybe we will meet up on the ship. Where do you live?
