We used our Military Discount on our upcoming cruise. Got an 8H assigned room for a little more than $600. pp. It is an 8 day cruise and I do not think you can beat than price.

I think the biggest thing for me is just having a window to look out from in the morning upon waking up. I could never do a cruise with interior cabins, regardless of the discount. I think the best value for us vets is the penthouse big suite when you book multiple people.
