6 DAY WESTERN ON DESTINY

Is this a new route for this ship? Anyone been on Destiny lately that can advise if ship is OK or not? This will be our 8th Carnival cruise so not to picky, but looking for couple of new ports and this one is showing some excellent prices - of course I remember - ya get what ya pay for!!

I am book on it for this summer and I also cruise on it last year...
Is not WOW like the AOS
Is not a new ship but I have no complains on how it is
this will be my third cruise on it this summer What do you want to know about it?

Mostly the condition of the ship ... reading some posts on different boards that advise it is not in good shape. I'm not sure I believe that as I saw it was refurbed in 2005. Unless it has been trashed in the last 2 years, I would expect it to be in reasonable shape just showing a little wear - that really doesn't bother me too much ...

We are looking at 2 different cruises on this ship. One goes to Ocho, Key West and Caymans. The other goes to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay and Nassau. Which would you recommend and why ...

We have cruised Ecstacy and I know it is older than this ship and smaller. We have not had any problems with it as we have cruised on her 3 times... So the age isn't the issue - just if it is starting to look "dirty".

Yes, it is a new route. And as far as I know a one time thing. Are you speaking of the Sept. 21st sailing?

Yes ... we are also looking at the one leaving 10/6 that goes to Grand Turks ... some minor concerns due to hurricane season, but figure as long as we can get to the port, we will be happy if we just cruise around in the water!

Carnival Destiny is not for picky people is not new but is not that bad...
But if you look behind the tv, yes probably you will find a little dust, in my experience there are a few reviews that are good and some are bad either way not much to say you will find out but my guess if you look for a few dents you will find it
