carnival conquest

my husband and I were on the carnival conquest for the march 2, 2003 western caribbean cruise. On the way back to new orleans, the ship pitched to the point that some people fell out of bed. was anyone else on that cruise and know what happened? we have always wondered

You were turning into the missippi river, it is a sharp turn and they call in a special navigator to sail the ship in from there to port. Yes, if have felt that turn and know we are almost home.
