S&S card and roommate charges ?'s

I have been reading this board and have yet to figure this one out...from what I've read, two single gals sharing a room will get two separate Sign & Sail cards....so how do they decide who gets charged for the minibar in the room or who pays the $22 fee if a towel gets lost??

I'm a group leader and a new cruiser for about 40 of us going in September and I am reading and asking all I can BEFORE they ask me...

I am not sure, but things like that will probably need to be settled among you. The cruise line will most likely charge anything to the first person listed on the booking for that cabin. That seems to be the logical way, unless you manage to tell the cabin attendant who to charge it to before they do it.

That is the way Princess does it; even for a husband and wife;
the booking is in one name and any charges associated with the cabin are on the account of the spouse that made the booking.
Anything the other spouse charges is on a separate account, even if one card is paying both accounts.

Maybe a question for the Singles and PWP section of the forum? I'm sure Carnival has dealt with two single cruisers booked in the same cabin but wanting seperate charges. If not, then maybe this would have to be settle on a case by case basis by going to the pursers desk? If they can establish a seperate charge account for each person's S&S card, then the only other room charges would be the towels and minibar usage. Anything else would be charged to that persones sign and sail card "folio" number (unless their system doesn't allow for two folio numbers to a cabin???

My brother and I have been on 3 Carnival cruises together...usually, I make the reservations so my credit card is used for the room deposit. We are each issued our own sail & sign cards. At the end of the week, we each pay our own tabs using our own credit/debit cards. We have never used the mini bar or lost a towel so I'm not sure how that would work. Hope this is helpful. Good luck!
