Had a wonderful cruise on Fantasy, so glad she is in Mobile. I am sure it was not a wonderful as Billybuzzy's, but we can't all have the life.

I heard from another passenger that an even larger ship was coming to Mobile. Does anyone know if this is true?

No. They will be changing ships in May with the Fantasy moving to Charleston and the Elation coming to Mobile. Same size ships.

Also wanted to say that this is second time on Fantasy and the food and service seemed to be much better this time around. The first time we cruised on Fantasy was just so so, but we really enjoyed this trip. The captain made more appearances than I'd ever seen. It seemed like he was everywhere. Is this common? Also, we thought that even thought Calica was an industrial port, it was absolutely beautiful.

Welcome back Boneman!

Thanks for the report. Glad to hear this news about the food and service. Did you try the prime rib? Just curious because I thought the Au Jus was more like brown gravy mix on the Fascination a few weeks ago. Everything else was great. What did you think about the lobster? I thought it was the best I'd ever had on a Carnival ship.

With the new Captain's Celebration "Meet and Greet" the Captain is supposed to be out and about along the promenade during it. Some Captains are much more visible than others for sure. Captain Volpi is one that is often out chatting with guests.

Did you go in the casino? If so how was it?

Hi Boneman, welcome home Thank you so much for taking time to write a review. Sounds like it was a great cruise! Did you stay in a motel the night before or just drive in the day of the cruise? Mobile is an easy port for us to get into and out of as well. Wish more cruise lines would come in. Have you booked another cruise? It just makes the debarkation blues so much easier to cope with when you have one to look forwad to Best wishes!

No I didn't try prime rib or lobster. I didn't want to try lobster because it has been spongy in the past. Also didn't go to casino one because my wife and I don't gamble and two I always hear that no one ever wins on the cruise ships. We haven't booked another cruise as of yet. My wife says we both have to loose a lot of weight first before booking another one. She didn't like what she saw in the photos. We will probably book Triumph next so I too would be interested in hearing reviews.

Forgot to mention that we loved the Mobile port. We did stay overnight and left our car at the hotel and took a taxi to the port. It was great. We were dropped off in the front and was on the ship in probably less than 15 minutes. Others complained of being in traffic for three hours. The taxi driver knew a back way in. I am glad we did the taxi from hotel.

Thanks. I love the stay and park hotels as well. It was a case of bad timing, or I could offer some recent input about the Triumph. Carnival invited me to tour the ship while it was in Charleston on the 2nd of this month. That didn't work out as I was on the Fascination at the time. Since this question about recent Triumph reviews has come up twice lately I'm going to feature a topic regarding the ship.

Cruisedad just posted a short review in answer to someone. He said she was in great shape.
