The Spirit does NOT have a dedicated Cinema. They do show movies on a screen in the lounge (not the main theater). I have not been on a CCL ship that has a cinema. But I think the Freedom might have one but I'm not sure

Thanks Jim, Some friends are wanting to join us for a cruise and these features seems important to them. I a not sure why one would want to go on a cruise and spend time in a movie theater!! Each to his own.
Gary- I was going to ask why you would want to spend cruise time watching movies, but I did not want to insult you. Now, with the big screens by the pool (Didn't know that Liberty had one, thanks CF) you can do both.. relax by the pool AND watch a movie...

I agree. If the friends want to watch a movie that is fine with me. I can find other things to do on board. Perhaps if it was a Pacific crossing or something...
The most relaxing for me is my cell phone does not work. No I will not pay the ship rates to hook..
Now there is something that would send me ad Dave over the edge. Sitting watching a movie on a cruise ship and have someones cell phone go off.. then have to listen to a rude person telling someone back home how they are watching a movie on a cruise ship!

Yes the Liberty has a giant movie screen, I'm not sure where but I do know that New Years Eve it was fabulous (according to my daughter who was there) to see NYC Time Square and have balloons and Ship festivities all at the same time. I can only assume they show movies when it is not New Years Eve.
