I was just commenting to my husband the other day that I thought the Pride was the most beautiful ship we had been on (9 so far). It is in renaissance period and very very renanissance. I have pictures if you would like to see them of what we did. Us on the West Coast don't have the beautiful water you have on the East Coast so swiming is pretty much not something to do. I am so spoiled now to the caribbean waters that I look at ours and say yuck. We lost a rudder on our cruise and had to sail and extra day...oh so sad. John Tesh and his band was on board and he gave us all a special concert just for the extra day. You can imagine what mess it was for all those waiting to go out and here we lag in a day late, but Carnival did an awesome job is taking care of everyone. Let me know on the pic

I have to agree with baby doll. The Carnival Pride is the most beautiful ship I've ever sailed on as well. Here is a link to the Carnival Pride review section of the site. BTW, notice the introduction description of the ship, yours truly wrote it. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...on_biggrin.gif

Thanks for the nice comments on the pictures. I am bumping this thread back up to the top in hopes Ameyers will return and see the photo albums I made for him.

We sailed on the Pride a couple years ago and really liked the ship, service and the food. Some people complain about the so called nudity pictures but it is art !!! and that is the way it should be looked at. We had no problem with it.

Yeah, I've read some of those complaint reviews. They were simply "aghast" at the nudity. I don't get it either. Maybe they don't have a mirror in their bathroom and have never been to an art museum. I don't know. I really enjoyed all of the art.

gdjoslin (Gary) was taking requests for photos from the Pride last fall. I had asked him to take some of the atrium art. His wonderful pictures are posted in this thread.

We're leaving on the Pride out of Baltimore on May 3. We live in the area and loved the idea of not having to fly somewhere else to get on the ship.

I'll let you know how it goes when we get back.

Hi SHW151, Welcome to Cruise-Chat!

Yes, you gotta love those close to home ports. Hope you have a great cruise on the Pride. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif

Welcome aboard,
