I have long lamented the lack of originality in cruise ship names, which started several years ago. I really don't care for the "of the seas" part of RCI's names. Their ships used to have more interesting names - Sun Viking, Nordic Empress, Song Of Norway.

And some of Carnival's names are silly too. Carnival Valor? Come on...
