Carnival Freedom given no other restrictions, Freedom is bigger than Destiny. nicer? depends on how you quantify "nicer" Freedom is newer, has more amenities due to its size.. but other than that, the two ships offer the same cruise experience.

Cost may be an issue, but you didn't mention price. Being a larger ship, the Freedom may be priced higher than Destiny...

Freedom is clearly bigger. The Destiny is older but made in a time when opulance ruled. The hallwasy and stairs are lined with real copper. The hallway to the lido deck is real marble. The entire ship is very nice. It does have a little rep for having things happen to it but I had a good cruise on her. never been on the Freedom, hear it's nice.

All in all I'll take the Spirit class
