I asked this once, but didn't get any feedback. My husband has arthritis and is not able to walk long distances (say more than 3 blocks) or stand for hours. What excursions would be best for him in Progresso? We have two daughters 18 and 24 who are also going on the cruise and want to do something active. So any help you can offer would be appreciated! Anyone else traveling on the Ecstacy March 19?

There is not a whole lot to do in Progresso. There are Mayan tours, but those are out. There is a "dune buggy" ride through the Flamingo reserve or take a beach break excursion...

Dianna, we visited Progresso with our 2 daughters 2 years ago. One was a teen at the time. I agree with Jim C. There is not a whole lot to do in Progresso. I can honestly say that was the first time we ever got off a ship and COULD NOT wait to get back on! The pier is long and then you walk through a mall sort of hallway. We went to the outdoor market to buy some souveniors. The town is filthy. We've been to Cozumel, Cancun, Mazatlan, Belize. Progresso, is by far, the dirtiest. I would not allow my daughters to do anything alone in Mexico. Just my advice. Let me know what you think for yourself when you get back. Have fun!
