My husband and I are thinking about going Nov 5 out of Miami, stopping in nassau, st thomas and st maarten. We have been on the Conquest to the western carribean and loved it! Just wondering how the valor is. we would get a balcony room. what is the weather like the beginning of nov? I am concerned about hurricane weather or it being cool.

We've not been on the Valor, but I'm sure there are plenty of folks out there that can fill you in. The weather in November is normally beautiful, mid to upper 80s during the day, 70s at night. Last year we did a 2 week out of Port Everglades that left November 5, we did have rain in 6 ports, but there were also 2 hurricanes brewing. We did not have to change our itinerary, and normally the hurricanes are through. The season does run through the end of November, but last year was, hopefully, a fluke. Most of the 16 cruises we've been on have been in the October-December time frame, and we've been blessed with wonderful weather. The water is still warm enough to enjoy snorkeling (even though I'm a whimp and have to wear a wet suit), it's usually in the mid 80s. If you've not been to Nassau, the Atlantis in Paradise Island is something to consider, there's also the straw market, and the Queen's staircase. St. Thomas has great shopping, if you enjoy that. There is also wonderful snorkeling. My favorite is Trunk Bay in St. John, you can catch a ferry in St. Thomas. St. Maarten is also great for shopping. There are some nice beaches. The last time we were there we did the America Cup racing, it was a total blast! I think y'all would have a great time (just pack some rain gear, in case). Best wishes!
