Absolutely bring a costume, alot of people do! I was on the Elation last year for halloween, they had a party on the promenade deck and then another on lido for the contest.
It's alot of fun dressing up for Halloween on cruiseship. Take costumes which are comfortable and different. We usually have at least half the ship dressing up and they will have contests for best costumes.

Yes, my daughter takes alot of thought to Halloween costumes. It is a big event. Bring costumes.
Thanks for the info! Now I just have to come up with 4 good ideas for costumes, because the 3 party poopers that I am going with "don't feel like dressing up" I am hoping if I bring the costumes, they will wear them. ANyone have any good or unique ideas?
I'm so excited!!!!!
Hi leonrn53, welcome to Cruise-Chat. I received a trophy from Royal Caribbean. I dressed up as a Fruedian slip. I had a full length slip with crepe paper wrapped around with Fruedian themes written on the paper. I've seen people dressed as tables, a lot of togas, bottles of wine, actually very few store bought costumes. Kitcat971, maybe I gave you some ideas. Kentishgirl, I've never seen any trick or treaters. I think they give the kids some candy.
I was thinking of dressing as Dorothy (from wizard of oz), dressing as the witch. I am going to wear my dorothy dress, braids, and my witches hat and maybe I could get some green tights. If I can only get my husband to dress as the tin man dressing as a monkey!!! Thanks for all the info guys! I am getting sooo excited!
